Street Maintenance

Street Maintenance Zones

The city is divided into seven separate maintenance zones. It’s important to note that not every street within the maintenance zone will be resurfaced in the year specified. Typically, maintenance will be deferred on pavement sections that were ranked in very poor or excellent condition. In these cases the pavement condition does not warrant a slurry seal be applied because the pavement is either in excellent condition or in such poor condition that slurry seal would be of little benefit. Streets that are located in an area where future construction or improvements are planned may also be deferred. These sections will likely be scheduled in the following seven-year cycle.
