If you are looking for a way to stay active and get a great workout, try Pickleball.  This fun game keeps the muscles moving and most importantly keeps players entertained while enjoying the great outdoors.

La Mesa's Pickleball is played on the tennis court at Collier Park at 4401 Palm Avenue.  The tennis court is striped for four Pickleball courts. Come join the fun at Collier Park - there is NO CHARGE to play and you do not need to bring your own paddles and/or balls.

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8:00 - 10:00 PM.
Pickleball can be played either on a tennis or badminton court with the net at 34 inches in the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or graphite paddle. Pickleball is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game fort experienced players.

Originally created in Washington in the 1960's and named for the creator's dog, "Pickles", according to the USA Pickleball Association, it is now played all over the country.  To learn more about Pickleball and purchase equipment, visit the USA Pickleball Association's website at
